When? July 27, 2024, to July 28, 2024
Where? Colorado Front Range
How do you react when you're pumped and doubting your ability to commit to the next move? Many climbers lose commitment and hesitate because they overthink while climbing.
To stay committed, you need to stop at rest stances and assess the risk. Then, make an informed decision: go or no go. Can I fall here? Can I not fall here? Once decided, you must commit fully to that action. This is the focus of our sport climbing mental training clinic.
By the end of this weekend clinic, you'll be able to:
- Make sport climbing more relaxed when leading
- Understand where you can and can’t fall
- Climb efficiently to avoid pumping out before reaching the anchors
- Learn redpointing techniques to send harder routes!
Prerequisite: You should be lead certified at a gym or have lead experience outdoors and feel comfortable lead belaying. You do NOT need to feel comfortable lead climbing to attend this course.
